A human born on this planet who has always been curious about the surroundings , huddled with "Tell Me Why?" books is how I would attribute my path to explore on the journey of Data Science.

From a very young age, my inclination towards STEM came from wanting to observe and know more about the environment. With the advent of mobile phones and modern electronic devices on the rise ,post High School I naturally gravitated towards Electronics and Communication and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in the same.

I soon followed that with a Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Illinois at Chicago. Here is where I discovered growing interest towards data science and actively took courses such as Random theory , Probability theory, Machine learning, Neural Networks, Detection and Estimation theory and Statistical Signal Processing. This formed the foundation of my core work into becoming a solid Data Scientist.

Post graduation I briefly worked at two startups one focused on Healthcare and the other one with Cybersecurity working on Natural Language Processing (NLP). I am currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at OnPoint Solutions where I have worked on a machine learning platform called Cortex writing machine learning , Bayesian networks and some Deep learning algorithms from scratch, actively made improvements to the ETL pipeline and closing the loop with model re-training and model maintenance pipeline in production. Being an active member of IEEE and NeurIPS, my airport reads are often recent research papers in ML and Deep learning. As a curious cat, learning never stops for me and that is one of the most exciting parts of my professional life.

Travel, writing , painting are some of my favourite creative outlets for unwinding!
